CCED's Eating Disorder Treatment

Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders provides evidence-based anorexia treatment, bulimia treatment and other eating disorder treatment for children and adults. We encourage you to speak with our Trusted Specialist.

Our goal is help patients recover from an eating disorder and build a life worth living. We take a team approach to treating children, teens and adults suffering from an eating disorder, whether they are being diagnosed for the first time or have engaged in treatment with other facilities in the past. Our multidisciplinary team includes a dedicated staff of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, counselors, nurse practitioners and social workers.

Led by Mark Warren, M.D., and Lucene Wisniewski, Ph.D., our outpatient eating disorder treatment programs offer multiple levels of care for individuals of all ages with eating disorders. We offer day treatment programs and intensive outpatient programs that incorporate psychiatric treatment, nutrition support, and individual and group therapy on a weekly basis. We utilize evidence-based therapies at the core of our treatment, including:

  • eating disorder treatment

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Teaches skills to understand how thoughts and feelings influence behaviors, while aiding in change.
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: Teaches skills to help patients cope with stress, regulate emotions and improve relationships with others.
  • Maudsley Family Based Therapy: Teaches parents to play an active role in their child’s diet and eating behaviors and, ultimately, his/her subsequent recovery.
