Our center is rapidly expanding to reach every child, teenager and adult in the region suffering from an eating disorder to provide effective treatments. Along with this growth, comes a high demand for highly qualified candidates.

We are continuously looking for certified clinicians and therapists that trust in evidence-based therapies, such as DBT and CBT, and if possible, are trained in this area for the effective treatment of eating disorders. Candidates must be hard-working, dedicated and team-oriented professionals.

We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

CLINICAL POSITION

The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders (CCED) seeks a clinical or counseling psychologist, a licensed clinical counselor, or licensed social worker with intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), eating disorders or Maudsley - Family Based Therapy to join our multidisciplinary treatment team.

As an active member of our team, you will provide individual and/or family therapy to adult and adolescent clients, participate in our consultation teams, facilitate groups, and contribute to the ongoing development of our evidence based programs. Responsibilities also include supervision and training of doctoral interns and students, and consultation/outreach to staff.

This position can be a mixture of clinical treatment, administration, and/or research depending on the applicant’s interests and expertise.   

Qualified applicants must have a professional degree and be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Deadline for receipt of applications is December 31, 2011 or until filled.

POSTDOCTORAL CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION

The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders (CCED) invites applications for a 1-2 year
post-doctoral fellowship beginning fall 2012.  Activities may include providing individual dialectical behavior therapy and skills training for adults, adolescents, and families, participating in program development and administration, monitoring client outcomes, and conducting research. Specific activities will be determined with the fellow to match her/his career goals.

CCED (http://www.eatingdisorderscleveland.org/) is a nationally known center committed to providing evidenced based care for individuals with eating disorders in a structured and supportive environment. The fellowship position will provide diverse clinical and research experience. Fellows will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to graduate students, contribute to the development and implementation of ongoing clinical research, and participate in regular didactic seminars. The main goal of the postdoctoral fellowship at CCED is to allow trainees to develop advanced competence in the treatment of complex eating disorders.  

Applicants will be considered who: Complete a clinical psychology doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) by the start date, demonstrate strong potential for a career in programmatic implementation of DBT and other evidence-based practice, and have substantial experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy and/or behavioral interventions. Experience with dialectical behavior therapy or eating disorders is highly desirable.
