The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders incorporates evidence based treatment into our Adult Day Treatment Program. We encourage you to speak with our Trusted Specialist.
Our adult Day Treatment Program (DTP) is intensive outpatient therapy for individuals suffering from an eating disorder that incorporates evidence based treatments, such as DBT and DBT therapies. Patients meet five days each week, up to six hours a day, for a total of 30 hours.
Throughout the week, adults attend scheduled group therapy sessions, have their weights and vitals (blood pressure and pulse) monitored and eat meals and/or snacks daily in a supportive group environment. Patients are encouraged to include spouses, family members or other significant individuals during their treatment program.
Our adult DTP group therapy sessions each week may include:
- Skills groups to teachadults the necessary skills for coping and emotion regulation.
- We educate adults on the causes and facts around eating disorders, along with managing and treating this illness.
- Nutritional support to help children and teens understand healthy eating and proportions.
- Support groups on building confidence and self-reflection.
- Relaxation groups to help children and teens get in touch with their body and mind.
