BEACHWOOD, Ohio — October 22, 2009 — The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders, an outpatient treatment center specializing in evidence-based care for bulimia and

www.EatingDisordersCleveland.org/Blog to serve as an educational resource for patients, employees and Website visitors. The blog offers tips and advice on the health effects, warning signs and treatments associated with
eating disorders.
“We want to educate and inform our patients on eating disorders, and the science and research behind evidence-based treatments,” says Mark Warren MD, Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders co-founder and medical director. “The blog also offers guidance for sensitive subjects such as how to approach a loved one suffering from an eating disorder and the first step in getting help.”
The blog discusses a wide variety of eating disorder treatments, ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Maudsley Family Therapy, to anorexia and bulimia support groups. To date, blog posts include:
“What Is Evidence-Based Treatment,” “How Can I Tell if My Therapy Is Working?” and
“What Is the Length of Eating Disorder Therapy.” Articles are posted weekly and can be browsed by date or descriptive tags, and readers can subscribe by email or through an RSS feed.
